I am entering my 5th year of teaching all with Elm Creek.  I grew up in McCook, NE and graduated high school in 2005.  I continued my education at Chadron State College where I studied Industrial Management & was also d football.  After graduating in 2009, I spent a semester in the working world then decided to go back for my education endorsement in the summer of 2010.  I graduated in Dec. of 2011 with my teaching degree and started teaching the Fall of 2012 in Elm Creek.  

Classes that I teach are:

7th/8th Industrial Tech are each a quarter in length that all 7th and 8th graders take as an exploratory class.

Intro to the Built Environment is an intro level class for Freshman and Sophomores.  They will learn beginning fundamentals and skills in CADD, Construction, Woods, and Welding.  This is the first class toward a Career Pathway in each of the classes.  This class is a pre-requisite to all the other Industrial Technology classes.

Manufacturing Welding is an Intermediate Class & Advanced Welding Fabrication is a Capstone Class. These classes would be 2nd and 3rd level classes to complete the career pathways in standard welding. During these classes students will learn skills in MIG, Stick, OxyFuel, TIG, and Plasma Cutting.  

Manufacturing Woods is an Intermediate Class & Advanced Woods Fabrication is a Capstone Class. These classes would be 2nd and 3rd level classes to complete the career pathways in standard woods. During these classes students will learn skills in Furniture making and Cabinet making.

Principles of Construction is an Intermediate Class & Advanced Construction is a Capstone Class. These classes would be 2nd and 3rd level classes to complete the career pathways in basic construction. During these classes students will learn construction and carpentry skills.

CADD is an Intermediate Class & Applications in Design is a Capstone Class.  These classes would be 2nd and 3rd level classes to complete the career pathways in drafting.  During these classes students will learn skills in Hand Drafting, Architecture CADD, Engineering CADD, and 3D Printing.
